Starting again over 50 doesn't mean starting from scratch. Your experience is your super power

If you’re building something of your own in your 50s or beyond, you probably don’t need more life experience, you’ve got plenty of that.

What you may need is help turning that experience into a clear online presence, so people can understand what you do, trust your expertise and take the next step with you.

Hi, I'm Justine

I’m the founder of Second Act Impact and I help business owners over 50 turn their experience, story and expertise into an online presence that feels clear, confident and credible

I spent over 30 years in corporate marketing across retail, logistics and the public sector, eventually leading digital strategy for a £3bn business. So I understand real marketing strategy, not just “post more and hope for the best.”

But I’ve also built businesses from scratch myself, including a £4m+ property business. So I know what it feels like when there’s no marketing department, no big team and no one coming to rescue the to-do list.

That combination is what I bring to Second Act Impact: big-business marketing thinking made practical, human and doable for people building something of their own in later life.

Because you’re not too old to start again — you’re too experienced not to.

How it all started...

Like many second acts, mine began before I felt fully ready.

While I was still in corporate life, I had been building a property portfolio in the background. It was my planned exit route, something that would eventually give me more freedom on my terms.

Then redundancy took the decision out of my hands.

Financially, I suddenly had some more great options but emotionally it was more complicated. I was proud of what I had built, but I also knew I didn’t want to leave behind 30 years of digital marketing expertise I had worked hard to acquire and still loved using.

At the same time, I kept meeting people like me: experienced, capable, often 50+, ready to build something of their own, but shrinking back from digital spaces because they felt unsure, behind or unwelcome.

So I created Second Act Impact.

It's not to help people become influencers or to push them into trends that feel ridiculous. It's to help them turn what they already know into an online presence they can feel proud of.

What changes when people get the right support

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the wonderful presence you have built for my business. you took the time to understand both myself and my business which shines through the outputs.

Eva - Civil Servant now Clinical Reflexologist

I was absolutely hopeless with social media but Justine's one to one coaching has helped me immensely. Now I just need to practice until it becomes second nature. I would recommend it to anyone who feels less than expert at it. Thanks also for your continued support Justine.

Mike - Firefighter now Property Investor

Justine has helped me set up Instagram leading up to an exhibition in London of my paintings and managed it throughout the exhibition. I was unfamiliar with how Instagram works, but she did a fantastic job. She was very responsive amd knowledgeable and a delight to deal with. She has a good eye with lots of interesting, creative ideas which i wouldn't have thought of or know how to implement. I would highly recommend her for setting up a social media presence.

Christine - Solicitor now Portrait Artist

Some fun facts about me...

I'm married to an Italian if you wondered about my surname.

England v Italy matches can get very heated in our home.

Coffee - is my true love. The smell, the taste, the feeling. The day doesn't start unless a wonderful coffee is involved.

My ultimate claim to fame - I took my Grade 8 ice dance exam and had no partner so my coach borrowed Christopher Dean to help out.

I'm a karate black belt and was a competitive fighter but no longer train.....so don't worry if you don't complete all your action plan.

I've worked with Facebook since it launched in 2004 and was asked by the Marketing Director at the time "Do you think it will catch on?"

I love to travel and my second act business gives me the chance to do just that. I have a huge destination bucket list and am enjoying ticking places off.
