ABOUT

Starting again over 50 doesn't mean starting from scratch - this is where your experience becomes your super power

Hi, I'm Justine

I'm the founder of Second Act Impact - and I know exactly what it takes to build a business from the ground up in your second act.

With over 30 years corporate marketing experience in sectors from retail, to logistics to the public sector, I ultimately led the digital strategy for a £2bn business. Since stepping out on my own, I've helped many 50+ business owners grow their visibility online with results that speak for themselves.

Alongside Second Act Impact , I also run a successful £4m+ property business.

Both businesses were built from scratch - not with fancy funding or viral fame, but with solid strategy, resilience and a willingness to keep showing up and to always keep learning.

These days, I specialise in helping second act business owners finally feel proud of how they show up online - through one-to-one coaching, powerful online courses or free resources all designed to support people who didn't really grow up in this hugely digital world.

Because you're not too old to start again - you're too experienced not to.

How it all started...

Like many second acts, mine began in an unexpected way.

In the latter part of my corporate career, I'd been quietly building a property portfolio in the background - my planned exit route, something that would give me freedom on my terms. But when I was suddenly made redundant, the decision was taken out of my hands. On the one hand, yay, exit with money to invest to grow the business further, it was perfect. But emotionally it didn't sit well with me. Yes, the property business was financially there for me, but I didn't want to stop using and forget years of fantastic digital expertise that I loved.

I kept seeing people like me. 50+, brilliant, desperate for escape from corporate life, looking to pivot, retrain, go it alone, turn their passions into income or perhaps forced to do one of these things due to redundancy. All craving to be their own boss at last but dreading and shrinking away from digital spaces and social media because they didn't feel confident, seen or welcome.

So I built what I couldn't find, Second Act Impact - a place to help those fabulous 50+ entrepreneurs shine online. It's not about trying to go viral. It's about using your voice to reflect who you are in a way that's right for you, feeling confident and owning your online presence.

Here's what some of my clients say

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the wonderful presence you have built for my business. you took the time to understand both myself and my business which shines through the outputs.

Eva - Civil Servant now Clinical Reflexologist

I was absolutely hopeless with social media but Justine's one to one coaching has helped me immensely. Now I just need to practice until it becomes second nature. I would recommend it to anyone who feels less than expert at it. Thanks also for your continued support Justine.

Mike - Firefighter now Property Investor

Justine has helped me set up Instagram leading up to an exhibition in London of my paintings and managed it throughout the exhibition. I was unfamiliar with how Instagram works, but she did a fantastic job. She was very responsive amd knowledgeable and a delight to deal with. She has a good eye with lots of interesting, creative ideas which i wouldn't have thought of or know how to implement. I would highly recommend her for setting up a social media presence.

Christine - Solicitor now Portrait Artist

Some fun facts about me...

I'm married to an Italian if you wondered about my surname.

England v Italy matches can get very heated in our home.

Coffee - is my true love. The smell, the taste, the feeling. The day doesn't start unless a wonderful coffee is involved.

My ultimate claim to fame - I took my Grade 8 ice dance exam and had no partner so my coach borrowed Christopher Dean to help out.

I'm a karate black belt and was a competitive fighter but no longer train.....so don't worry if you don't complete all your action plan.

I've worked with Facebook since it launched in 2004 and was asked by the Marketing Director at the time "Do you think it will catch on?"

I love to travel and my second act business gives me the chance to do just that. I have a huge destination bucket list and am enjoying ticking places off.
